  • Energy Networks Association represents the licensed gas and electricity transmission and distribution companies in the UK. One of three successor organisation to the Electricity Association. Last visited 17/10/04

  • Energy Technology Data Exchange Claims to be the world's largest collection of energy literature, with more than 3.8 million abstracted and indexed records, updated twice monthly. Mainly seems to be concerned with energy production issues rather than efficiency of use. Registration (free to UK users) is required (Last visit 02/01/04)
  • Enhanced capital allowances: provide a very marginal tax benefit for companies investing in certain approved energy-saving technologies. The technology list is worthwhile consulting. But if you don't pay income/corporation tax, or don't make a profit, or your accountant's time costs a lot, the tax break won't help much.   • Ofwat, Water industry regulator for England and Wales. Informative, quick, site pleasingly free of fancy design gimmicks and effects.Last visited 17/10/04
  • Saveonyourbills: shop around for cheaper supplies. Easy to use, and free. You can even sign up with a supplier from the recommended list, but you are handed on to the chosen supplier for this, and can find yourself repeating earlier answers (and at the mercy of the particular supplier's laborious or flaky systems) Visited 02/01/04
